Influenced by the excitement of Van Gogh's brush and the simplicity of Edward Hopper's composition, I am always looking to create a new way of presenting a familiar scene.

The image usually comes first to my eye. Objects and shapes guide my work; color gives it definition. Nature provides the backdrop for composition.

I like people to “step into” the work, feel the shadows, reflection, and emotion.
